What's a Choctopus?!

… But What on Earth is a Choctopus?!
That’s a great question.
A Choctopus is a creature that doesn’t exist in nature, and in fact only exists here, on this page. In truth, it is simply a play on my last name and one of my favourite creatures, rendered by a friend of mine above. As I have a wide range of skillsets and the ability to adapt very quickly, I thought it was a fitting portmanteau.
But to assuage some fears, here I am, in all my “not an actual terrifying human/octopus hybrid” glory:
Who am I? I’m Arthur Chocholacek!
I’ve been working with computers for pretty much my entire life, at this point, either from my early days as a wee lad playing video games on the family Commodore 64, to my teen years as an amateur developer on the family 486 (remember Turbo Pascal?), to today, working on software based solutions to a variety of problems.
From back end development and infrastructure support to front end revisions and UI/UX work, I have a “tentacle” for a variety of tasks, and enjoy them all.
For the last few years, I have been working primarily with Sugar/SuiteCRM, and I am very comfortable swimming in that ocean, but I have a number of outside projects under my belt as well, and I look forward to working with you to find agreeable, affordable solutions to any issues you may have.
